  • On the afternoon of June 29, the Wenzhou Medical University Commencement Ceremony for International Students 2022 was held at the Biopharmaceuticals Research Building. Seventy-nine undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral graduates attended the ceremony online and offline. Vice President Jin Shengwei attended the ceremony. Heads of relevant functional departments, schools, and representatives of teachers took part in the ceremony.

On behalf of the university, Jin Shengwei congratulated the graduates of Class 2022 on completing school. He said, "no matter where you go, China will always be your adopted home and WMU will always be your firm backing.” Jin encouraged the graduates to continually broaden their horizons, see a bigger picture, and live a life worthy of our times; to be grateful, serve the community, and display their talents on their posts and in their countries; to pursue opening up and inclusiveness, embrace other's advantages and disseminate the fine Chinese culture.

Teacher representative Hu Liang hoped the graduates would never forget that they were students of WMU, remain upright and active, and work confidently and diligently. Ghanaian postgraduate student representative AKITI STEPHEN said that WMU had offered a great platform for study and communication, where he developed innovation ability and practical skills. In the future, he would keep improving his ability and forging ahead. Cameroonian undergraduate student representative ASTA DEBORA said that studying at WMU had made her grow and taught her to care about others. She would like to be a competent doctor and help more people.

At the degree-conferring ceremony, the president and principals turned the tassels for the graduates with joy.

The representatives of teachers and parents sent their wishes to the graduates online.

The ceremony came to a close in the chorus of Friends, full of sorrow of parting.
