  • Tajikistan Ambassador Visits WMU

    Mr.Davlatzoda Parviz, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to China and his entourage visited Wenzhou Medical University (WMU) on March 12th. Vice President Wang Liangxing, on behalf of WMU, extended welcome to the delegation and held talks with the guests on cooperation intentions.

    During the meeting, Mr.Davlatzoda Parviz pointed out the importance of youth education and his concern about the training of outstanding medical workers. He said, before his visit, he had heard about WMU and its First Affiliated Hospital for many times and thought highly of the teaching model of WMU. Besides, he introduced Tajik State Medical University and expressed his willingness to build a bridge for cooperation between the two universities. Through his efforts, he expected to promote the strategic cooperation in medical teaching between the two countries and expand the scope of mutually beneficial activities such as exchange of students and building campuses of the two universities in each other’s country. He also invited WMU faculty and staff to visit the Tajik State Medical University in Tajikistan.

    Afterwards, Vice PresidentWang Liangxing also briefed the guests about WMU, focusing on the international student education and international cooperation. He said, as the medical teaching models and medical systems of the two countries are similar, there is a good foundation for cooperation. He expressed his welcome to the young people in Tajikistan to study at WMU and his expectations to promote cooperation in teaching, medical service and scientific research between the two countries.

    After the meeting, the delegation visited WMU’s Human Body Science Museum and the First Affiliated Hospital, and held talks on future cooperation and exchange.
