• WMU teacher won first prize in National English Teaching Competition for Young Teachers of MBBS Program
  • July 19-20, the third National English Teaching Competition for Young Teachers of MBBS Program sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange, International Medical Education Committee was held in Jinan. Wu Zhijun from the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of WMU won the first prize. This is the highest award WMU has ever received in the event so far.

    In the competition, Wu Zhijun gave a lesson on “Pneumothorax”. He stood out from the competitors based on the composed stage manner, coherent and rigorous curriculum design, lively interaction, attractive course slides, and on-site blackboard writing, together with fluent oral English. His lesson won the praise of all the experts, judges, and teachers.

    This is the largest and most influential event in China that displays the English teaching abilities of teachers of the MBBS program. It aims to further improve the quality of medical education for international students and boost the professional competence of young teachers of the MBBS program. 43 young teachers from Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Capital Medical University, China Medical University, and other colleges participated in the event, demonstrating the best of China’s English teaching quality of MBBS program.
