On the morning of March 18th, WMU held an online cooperation meeting with Temple University. Erika Clemons, assistant vice president of Temple University, Professor Jayanth Panyam, dean of the School of Pharmacy, and relevant leaders of the Department of Pharmacy and the Department of International Cooperation attended the conference. Directors from the International Affairs Office and the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of WMU attended the meeting.
At the meeting, WMU’s International Affairs Office welcomed the American participants and introduced the development of Wenzhou Medical University in recent years from the aspects of faculty, scientific research, internationalization of education, distinctive disciplines, and so on. Later, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences also introduced its research direction and research results to the foreign party in detail.
Assistant Vice President Erika Clemons and Professor Jayanth Panyam also gave a brief overview of Temple University and School of Pharmacy respectively. Erika Clemons said that Temple University attaches great importance to the friendship and cooperation with Wenzhou Medical University and has maintained close contact in high-level visits, Dual Bachelor’s Master’s Degree Program, academic exchanges, and other aspects. Professor Jayanth Panyam said that the two universities have a lot in common in the scientific research direction of the pharmaceutical field and can carry out various cooperation. He hoped that the two sides could further build an academic exchange platform and promote in-depth cooperation between the two universities through faculty exchanges and academic conferences.
