An agreement signing ceremony between Wenzhou Medical University and Institute Supérieur de Rééducation Psychomotrice (ISRP) was held online in WMU on November 18. Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of WMU Prof. Li Xiaokun, Executive Director of ISRP Mr. Mark Soubiran, President Mr. Gérard Hermant, Executive Director of Greater China Ms. Liu Dan as well as leaders of relative departments, schools, and hospitals of WMU attended the ceremony and exchanged ideas with each other. In the future, the two sides will jointly cultivate top talents in the field of psychomotor therapy through student exchanges, faculty training, and continuing education for medical staff.
Prof. Li Xiaokun introduced the development of WMU. He said that in recent years, WMU has vigorously promoted the cross-integration and construction of rehabilitation medicine, nursing, psychiatry, and other disciplines, actively developed big data and bioinformatics engineering to participate in the reconstruction of limb rehabilitation, and has obtained some achievements. He hoped that the two universities will enhance cooperation between China and France in the field of psychomotor therapy through resource sharing and mutual complementarity.
Mr. Gérard Hermant said that as the world is under the influence of COVID-19, it is difficult to carry out international cooperation and exchanges currently. The realization of the cooperation between two universities is crucial to the collaboration in the field of rehabilitation medicine between China and France. As a leader in the field of psychomotor therapy, ISRP has trained nearly half of the psychomotor therapists in France, gaining ample experience. Cooperating with Wenzhou Medical University is a historic moment of cooperation between China and France in the field of psychiatric therapy. He believed that the two universities will cultivate more medical talents together in the future. Mr. Mark Soubira and the founder of ISRP Mr. Jose Soubiran fully recognized the achievements of our university in recent years and believed that the cooperation between the two universities is crucial to the development of the cause and psychomotor therapy in China.
Founded in 1967, ISRP is known as the leader and model in the field of psychomotor therapy in France and has trained nearly half of French psychomotor therapists.
