• WMU enters the Times Higher Education’s Asia University Rankings
  • On June 3, the Times Higher Education (THE) released its 8th Asia University Rankings. The list shows that Wenzhou Medical University ranks 301st-350th in Asian universities, and 75th-78th among Chinese mainland’s universities. WMU ranks second in provincial institutions of Zhejiang Province, and fourth among universities jointly built by the provincial government and the Ministry of Education. This is our first time to participate in the ranking.

    A total of 489 universities from 30 Asian countries and regions are included in this year’s list, with 78 debutants. 81 Chinese mainland’s universities feature in the ranking, with 23 into the top 100.

    Times Higher Education is one of the world's most authoritative university rankings, which is highly trusted by governments, universities, students, and their families. The Times Higher Education’s Asia University Rankings are published annually and use 13 carefully-calibrated performance indicators to measure universities' comprehensive strengths in terms of teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.

    In addition, Times Higher Education publishes the World University Rankings, University Impact Rankings, World Reputation Rankings, and other rankings. Among them, THE World University Rankings are recognized as one of the four most authoritative world University rankings, together with QS World University Rankings, U.S. News World University Rankings, and Shanghai Ranking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities(ARWU).
