ICourse International is one of the first batch of online teaching & learning platforms in universities launched by the Ministry of Education recently, aiming to better gather the best universities, teachers, and courses in China, so as to build a stage for global learners to explore knowledge and share wisdom. The first batch of courses, 193 in total, was selected by Higher Education Press, and came from 53 national "double first-class" universities as well as seven universities with professional characteristics.

The eight courses selected this time were well-built online first-class courses created under WMU’s positive implementation of the requests of Implementation Opinions of the Ministry of Education on the Construction of First-class Undergraduate Courses (No.8 [2019] of the Ministry of Education), and in strict accordance with the standards of "gold courses", namely, advanced, innovative, and challenging. Up to now, 76 courses of WMU have been recognized as first-class courses at the provincial level and above, implying remarkable achievements in the construction of "golden courses". In the near future, more than a dozen courses of WMU will be available on iCourse international.
